What is a User Defined chart? It is a method by which YOU the user can determine what information is to be collected on each Patient in your Operating Room from Admission through Surgery and Post Ansesthesia, to Discharge. Each chart contains up to eighty (80) user definable data fields per chart, and all user defined elements can be redefined or eliminated from use at any time, WITHOUT having to convert your database. Fields can be defined as Free text, Lookup from database, Date, Numeric, or Pop-up windows.

Chart fields can be classified as "Required", "Requested", or "Normal". Required fields must have data entered before the chart can be saved. Requested fields warn if data has not been entered at the time the record is saved, and gives the user the option to go back and enter the data or continue with their work.
Format of the printed patient chart is completely user definable, and can contain elements from one or more of the charts.

Pre-Admission Testing or PAT requirements can be tracked through the Patient Charting system using our Pre-Operative events module. Results can be tracked and Operating Room and admitting staff can be notified if any PAT requirements are not satisfied prior to the patient being admitted on the day of surgery. Like charting fields, Pre-Operative events are user definable and can be added, removed or changed at any time without the need to convert your database.

Once a patient case is entered through patient charting you may click the surgery scheduling icon on the tool bar and be taken straight to the Surgery Scheduling screen, once there you can drag and drop the patients case to the selected room and time or you can use "Fast Scheduling"; to rapidly find an appropriate time and day on the surgery schedule.
